Job Description:
The primary functions of this position are to provide quality service to clients, manage and control client relationships, and support consultants/producers in their efforts to attract and retain clients.
The Commercial Insurance Account Executive will be the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company and designated accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Receive new business requests from direct clients/consultants – analyse, suggest and obtain adequate quotes through all channels.
- Preparation of quotes/proposals, and binding of coverage
- Ensure quote to issuance process is within agreed SLA, maintain tracker for missed SLA’s.
- Endorsement activity – end to end
- Renewal management – end to end
- Coordinate with Head of General Insurance/consultants on strategic account issues and potential challenges.
- Utilize workflows and processes to initiate and maintain contact with clients as well as to update coverages, review exposures, and discuss opportunities for account management.
- Accurate record keeping, case management – as per business process requirements.
- Reporting – quotes, policies issued, lost business and productivity.
- Adherence to UW, compliance & department guidelines in line with the company’s SOP.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial lines – UAE commercial insurance underwriting, coverage, and rate analysis for minimum 3 years.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this knowledge clearly to clients and underwriters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills In English, Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload & support the team.
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
